Venus lacks an intrinsic magnetic field, and that’s weird.

Earth’s protective magnetic field is generated by the movement of molten iron and nickel in its outer core (see: dynamo theory). Venus likely contains a similar core to Earth’s, yet its comparatively weak magnetic field is instead produced by interactions between solar wind and the planet’s outer atmosphere (source).

But Venus has no magnetic field to speak of.
