We have already noted Star Trek references and connections throughout the novel in some of our past beanbags, including:

• #4: Rocky is from the same star system as Spock!
• #37: Statements of the form “I’m a X, not (a) Y”, and
• #111: Further expanding on the Vulcan/Eridian star system

Here are some others that we’ve noticed:

• “I can’t just ask Mr. Sulu to plot a course” 16.131
• Wolf 359, mentioned in 05.257, serves as the location of a major battle with the Borg, the Battle of Wolf 359
• Ryland looks at his screen in 07.010 and thinks to himself: “Nothing useful like an isometric Star Trek scan or anything”
• “That’s what Captain Kirk would do. So why not Captain Rocky?” 11.129
