#161 +VV̶

In #59, we presented some facts about Dr Dimitri Komorov. Here we continue.

On multiple occasions (05.289 to 05.293 and 09.059 to 09.061) Dimitri says something humorous that Stratt is not impressed by. This includes the one time something is explicitly referred to as a “pun”.

In his first appearance, there aren't many verbs he is the subject of: laughs, clears ... throat, nods, and (by far the most common) says.

In his second appearance, in chapter 9, there is a lot more description of his actions. He gives a theatrical wave, he leads, gestures, beams.

He also points a lot—at least five times.

He yells, asks, purses his lips, pumps his fist in the air, grabs Grace’s arm, smiles, shrugs, and fiddles with some papers.

The scientists on the aircraft carrier were referred to as “Dimitri’s Denizens” (09.052).

His reported speech uses an exclamation point 22 times. (We'll compare that to other speakers in a future beanbag)

Dimitri said something in Russian to them. They said something back. He said some other thing and pointed to me. They smiled and made happy Russian sounds.
