In this beanbag, we’ll look at the lines of others.

At 00:06 the Computer says “Please state your name”. In the book, it’s “What’s your name?” 01.071

At 00:28, Stratt says “The sun is dying.” This exact line is spoken by Stratt in the book at 03.094.

At 00.37, Stratt says “You have a doctorate in molecular biology.“ At 03.064 in the book, she says “Your doctorate is in molecular biology, correct?“

At 00:42, Stratt says “This is Project Hail Mary.” In the book, she says “This is an international body of high-level scientists and political operatives that I have assembled to spearhead Project Hail Mary.” 05.182

At 00:44, Stratt says “The sun is not the only star dying.” At 05.251 Stratt says “Our sun is not the only star that’s getting dimmer.”

At 00:46 in the trailer, Stratt says “Every star was infected by its neighbor except one.” In the book, she says “every star eventually infects all of its neighbors.” 05.258

At 00:51, Stratt says “Which is why we build a ship to go there and find out.” At 05.279 she says “So we’re going to make a ship and send it there.”

At 01:08 in the trailer, Stratt says “If we do nothing, everything on this planet will go extinct.” It the book, it is Leclerc who, at 14.015, says “We’re looking at extinction of many species.”
