Jennie "Starstuff" King emerged from the cosmic void with a degree in astronomy, following a fortuitous encounter with a Carl Sagan book. She taught only one year of grade 6 science (which provided her with great admiration for teachers like Ryland Grace) before adjusting her trajectory to teach high school physics and engineering. Jennie continues to volunteer as a NASA Solar System Ambassador after relocating to Canada, where she now manages education programming for a nonprofit science centre.
